Nodal progress has been made in the construction of Zhanjiang Bay subsea tunnel on Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway. Shield machine crosses Haibin Road overpass of Bay Bridge.
On January 29th, the shield machine "Yongxing" of Zhanjiang Bay subsea tunnel of Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway successfully crossed the Haibin Road overpass of Zhanjiang Bay Bridge "close to the skin". The net distance between the shield machine and the pier pile foundation of the overpass was only 0.9 meters, and the construction process of side crossing was safe, stable and orderly. The construction of Zhanjiang Bay subsea tunnel won another victory.
The main line of Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway has a total length of 401 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The line starts from Guangzhou Railway Station, passes through Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, Zhanjiang and other cities, and ends at Zhanjiang North Station. The total investment of the project is about 99.8 billion yuan, which is the longest and largest high-speed rail project in Guangdong Province. Zhanjiang Bay subsea tunnel of Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway is 9640 meters long, including 7551 meters of shield section, 14.33 meters of excavation diameter, 13.8 meters of segment outer diameter and 12.6 meters of inner diameter. It is the longest single-headed sea-crossing shield tunnel for high-speed rail in China.
At present, after successfully crossing the Haibin Road overpass, the "Yongxing" shield machine has accumulated 4356 meters, which has overcome the first difficulty in entering the main city of Zhanjiang and laid a solid foundation for safe and stable construction in the new year.
In the next step, "Yongxing" shield machine will cross the urban main road for a long distance and the municipal pipeline for many times. The buildings and structures on both sides of the road are dense, and the buried depth of the tunnel is gradually reduced from 30.7 meters to 4.7 meters. The settlement and deformation control of the shield construction stratum will be the control points in the construction process.
