BYD Shinsong Pro DM-i, Sea Lion 05 DM-i： Compact SUV Preferred

Recently, we learned from the official that the new Song Pro DM-i and Sea Lion 05 DM-i sister models will be officially launched on September 23. Both new cars are positioned as compact SUVs and will be sold on BYD’s Dynasty Network and Ocean Network. Both models are equipped with 1.5L systems and use BYD’s latest DM5.0 plug-in hybrid technology.

Sea Lion 05 DM-i

In terms of exterior design, the Sea Lion 05 DM-i continues the design concept of "marine aesthetics". The front grille is wide, and the chrome-plated decoration arranged in dots on both sides adds to the momentum of the model. The shape of the Xinhui headlights is tough and simple, and with the blackened lamp cavity, it shows a deep visual effect. The design of the diversion grooves on both sides of the front further highlights the sense of movement.

The side of the body adopts a suspended roof design, and the metal decorative strips around the windows add a sense of style to the vehicle. The length, width and height of the new car are 4710/1880/1720mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2712mm.

In terms of interior, the Sea Lion 05 DM-i is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotatable central control screen, and is equipped with BYD intelligent network system. The new car uses a flat-bottomed four-spoke steering wheel, and the stop bar area adopts a circular design. The crystal stop bar is very delicate. The seats are designed with a sporty integrated headrest, and the flanks are prominent to provide excellent lateral support. The interior is decorated with + blue stitching, which shows the breath of youthful vitality. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshades.

New Song Pro DM-i

The front face of the new Song Pro DM-i adopts a dragon aesthetic design. The headlights have become more slender and have a blackened design. The lower part of the front is equipped with a trapezoidal honeycomb air intake grille, and there are "fangs" on both sides, showing a domineering appearance. The side of the body maintains the shape of the current model, but the window frame adopts a blackened design, and the wheel rim is upgraded to a new double five-spoke style. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with through taillights and adopts a letter LOGO, and the overall design is more concise. The length, width and height of the new car are 4735/1860/1710mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2712mm.

In terms of power, the new Song Pro DM-i also uses DM5.0 plug-in hybrid technology, equipped with 1.5L, with a maximum power of 74 kW and a maximum motor power of 120 kW. Under WLTC conditions, the pure electric cruising range is 93 kilometers, matching the lithium iron phosphate blade battery. In terms of suspension, the front McPherson independent suspension is used, and the rear four links are used.
