EPA hybrid platform, Mazda EZ-6 will be pre-sold on September 28
Recently, we learned from the official that Mazda EZ-6 (parameters | inquiry) will officially open pre-sale on September 28th. The new car is positioned as a medium-sized car, built on the Changan EPA hybrid platform, and provides two sets of pure electric and range-extending power systems.
In terms of appearance, the new car follows the Soul design concept of the Mazda family, and the pure electric model adopts a closed front grille. The headlights of the vehicle have a split structure, and the main light source is hidden under the daytime running lights. The light strip surrounding the front grille, together with the light sources shaped like feathers on both sides, forms an LED light group called Wings of Light. The Mazda logo in the middle also has a luminous function. The front surround of the vehicle integrates the black panel with the front grille, and there are ventilation openings arranged vertically on both sides. Below is a heat dissipation hole design with active grille function.
On the side of the body, the overall shape of the new car presents a slip-back coupe style. The front and rear fenders are designed to slightly widen the body, and are matched with five-spoke semi-closed wheels. With the concave structure of the door, it shows some sporty atmosphere. The new car at the rear adopts a through taillight group design, and the rear surrounding multi-layer structure makes the new car more three-dimensional. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4921/1890/1485mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2895mm.
In the interior part, the new car is equipped with a floating 14.6-inch central control screen and a full LCD instrument with a built-in 8155 chip. Touch buttons are used on the dual-spoke multi-function steering wheel. At the same time, the interior of the basic version of the car is wrapped in a lot of leather, while the high-end model uses a lot of leather/fur splicing materials, which appropriately enhances the sense of luxury. In terms of configuration, the car will also be equipped with a 14-speaker Sony sound system, 64-color ambient lights, front zero-gravity seats, and the cabin in the car also supports 13 scene mode switching and panoramic canopy and other configurations.
In terms of power, the new car has two kinds of power: range extension and pure electricity. The range extension model is equipped with a 1.5L range extender, with a maximum power of 70kW, a motor power of 160kW, and a lithium iron phosphate battery.
