MINI new fuel vehicle, domestic multi-option, oil power vs traditional

Although the demand for domestic pure electric models is growing rapidly, I believe that many people still want to continue to feel the charm of fuel vehicles, but many models do not launch fuel models after the launch of pure electric models, and BMW has done a good job in this regard.

Based on the sharing of gasoline and electricity platforms, most BMW models will bring pure electric and fuel versions together. Just as BMW launched the fuel version at the Guangzhou Auto Show after the launch of the pure electric version, the new car still offers three-door and five-door versions, which also means that there are more options than the pure electric version.

It is understood that the fuel version of MINI models will continue to be sold in the way of imports, that is to say, the price of new cars will be slightly higher than pure electric models. As a reference, the current MINI fuel version price range is 199,800 – 368,300 yuan, and the new model is expected to be listed on November 16.

As a replacement model, the new MINI is a fuel-powered model, but from the appearance of the new car, the new car basically continues the same shape of the pure electric version, and the whole car is obviously more concise, but the style still continues the classic design elements of the MINI family, such as round headlights, three-door body, contrasting color roof, and so on.

It is worth mentioning that this new car also offers the JCW version, which is what we call the performance version. The JCW version will be more aggressive in shape. The new car’s middle net is fully blackened, which is larger than the ordinary version. Therefore, the new car is more aggressive. However, whether it is the JCW version or the three-door version or the four-door version that is more suitable for home use, the new car uses larger-sized wheels, which greatly enhances the texture and performance of the new car.

In terms of size, the new MINI five-door fuel version has a length, width and height of 4036/1744/1464 mm, and a wheelbase of 2567 mm, which is close to the size of the previous model. After all, as a smaller model, the new car is not suitable for excessive size improvement. However, its wheelbase is 72 mm longer than the new MINI three-door fuel version, and the body is 172 mm longer.

In terms of interior, the new MINI three/five-door fuel version continues the design of the pure electric model, using a 240mm diameter bezel-less circular OLED display as the main information interaction system in the car, and is equipped with a HUD head-up display system. In addition, physical buttons and knobs are also retained under the central control screen.

As for power, the new MINI three/five-door fuel version continues to offer 1.5T and 2.0T engines for users to choose from. The MINI COOPER C version is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power of 115 kW; while the MINI COOPER S is equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The new four-cylinder engine continues to be equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 170 kW and a peak torque of 380 Nm (60 Nm increase). The acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is 6.1 seconds.
