National defense mobilization is a bridge to transform national defense potential into national defense strength and an important content of national defense construction. The effectiveness of national defense mobilization construction is related to national security and development, and to the victory or defeat of future wars.
In 2017, with the adjustment of the whole army to form 84 military units, including services and arms units and provincial military region systems, various reform measures of the national defense mobilization system gradually landed and achieved new breakthroughs.
Planning and design are clearer. Retired soldiers who are self-employed enjoy a series of support policies. College soldiers enjoy a series of preferential treatment after retirement. Ex-soldiers who have been admitted to ordinary colleges and universities before enlisting and retained their qualifications for admission or are studying in ordinary colleges and universities are allowed to enroll or resume their studies within two years after retiring from active service, and enjoy preferential treatment such as scholarships, grants and tuition reduction and exemption in accordance with relevant state regulations. Eligible retired soldiers can retire or be supported by the state.
