　　　　1. In order to make money, four people set up pornographic websites.

　　　　■ 24,000 yuan for equipment

　　　　"I just want to make money." On May 18th, at Handan Detention Center, the website of "Love 99" stood in Changjiang and said that the purpose of building the station was straightforward.

　　　　The 34-year-old Jiang has only a primary school education, but he likes chatting on the Internet very much. In June 2006, a netizen of Jiang opened a website called "Love 99" to organize pornographic performances on the Internet. Jiang was also pulled in as an agent, and the selling card took money from it.

　　　　It was during these days as an agent that Jiang made a small fortune, mastered the technology and operation means of making pornographic websites, and met Yang, Li, Duan and others who would cooperate with him in the future.

　　　　Being able to chat online and make a lot of money, Jiang seems to have found the excitement.

　　　　In August 2006, after the "Love 99" website was closed, Jiang had the idea of building his own website. After consulting with Yang, Li, Duan and others, it hit it off. Jiang invested 24,000 yuan to buy equipment, became the stationmaster and managed the website, and Yang, Duan and Li acted as agents to organize the development of members.

　　　　"It is profiteering to engage in pornographic websites." Deng Xuefeng, captain of the investigation brigade of the network supervision detachment of Handan Public Security Bureau, calculated an account for the author.

　　　　As a stationmaster, Jiang designed a virtual card by himself and sold it to the agent at the price of 100,000 "e-coins" in 35 yuan, and the agent then sold it to members at the price from 35 yuan to 60 yuan. Members can use "e-coins" on Jiang’s website to buy virtual gifts representing different points, such as roses, cars and villas.

Statistics from the public security organs show that only from the current accounts of an online bank in Jiang, more than 4,000 registered members are involved, and the number of online users is up to more than 200.

　　　　Deng Xuefeng told the author that the development of this kind of chat website is like snowballing. When one person pulls another person, it will get bigger and bigger and earn more and more. The scale of Jiang’s website is not large. Although it is only less than 6 months, he still earns more than 30,000 yuan, with an average monthly income of more than 6,000 yuan.

　　　　2, clever punches, online forensics with the help of high technology

　　　　■ "It is very difficult to obtain evidence in similar cases"

　　　　On February 2, 2007, the network supervision detachment of Handan received a clue from the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Public Security Department that the website "Qing Qing 99" organized an online obscene performance, and its webmaster might be hiding in Handan. The network supervision detachment immediately dispatched elite soldiers to quickly set up a task force to solve the case.

　　　　"There are many difficulties in obtaining evidence for cracking online pornography cases," Li Zengbao, captain of Handan’s network supervision detachment, told reporters.

　　　　Jiang is well-organized, and members are introduced by acquaintances. Strangers can’t see obscene performances at all, but the information about organizing obscene performances is posted to paying members on the Internet. The time is not fixed, so it is hidden. Because obscene performances are conducted through the Internet, they disappear immediately, and they are not kept on the Internet all the time. After the pornographic performances, the contents of the performances can’t be found out from the Internet. In addition, Jiang’s accounts are traded through online banks, and Jiang and his agents are in it.

　　　　Apart from the clue that Jiang was hiding in Handan, the task force didn’t know much about the "Love 99" website. In order to investigate and collect evidence, the police sent personnel to log on to Jiang’s website disguised as ordinary netizens.

　　　　From the homepage of "Qing Qing 99" website intercepted by the network police, this is an ordinary chat website. The words "No dissemination of obscene and pornographic information" are clearly marked on the top right of the homepage. The whole page is neat and clean, and there are no words related to obscenity and pornography.

　　　　"The tricky part lies in the ordinary member area and VIP member area." Deng Xuefeng explained that there is no pornographic performance in the ordinary member area, so you can enjoy special "treatment" by paying to register as a VIP member and entering the room with obscene pornographic performances.

　　　　Deng Xuefeng was rejected when he first applied to Jiang for VIP membership. Jiang was always wary of netizens who were not introduced. After three days of continuous inspection of Deng Xuefeng, Jiang agreed to his application to become a VIP member.

　　　　■ Network police use the Internet to collect evidence

　　　　After becoming a VIP member, the police found that most of the members here were obscene and pornographic when chatting with each other. Before each pornographic performance, the webmaster or agent will release information from time to time to inform VIP members when and which "room" will have a performance.

　　　　Because the performance time is not fixed, the network police are divided into two classes, insist on being online 24 hours a day, monitor the website and collect a lot of evidence.

　　　　On February 15, when the police conducted undercover investigation on the website, they found a VIP "room" clearly marked that others should not enter.

　　　　"There must be something in it." Deng Xuefeng prepared screenshots and download tools and suddenly broke in. It turned out that Jiang and Yang, Li and Duan were in a meeting to discuss the development of the website and the distribution of benefits.

　　　　The police quickly took screenshots and immediately started downloading videos. Although Jiang was soon aware that a stranger had entered and cleared Deng Xuefeng out of the chat room, the police still obtained valuable information. The realistic appearance of Jiang and others was presented to the police for the first time, which created conditions for the case to be closed and the results to be expanded.

　　　　3. After searching hard, the police decisively attacked the principal offender.

　　　　■ "What is more difficult than obtaining evidence is to find the hiding address."

　　　　"It is more difficult than obtaining evidence online to find out the hiding address of criminal suspects," Deng Xuefeng told reporters.

　　　　Since there is only one blurred photo of Jiang intercepted on the Internet, six police officers handling the case have been groping in Anzhuang Village for half a month without any progress.
